BIG NEWS AT BIMQG FOUR PROJECTS GO TO AUSTIN FOR QUILTCON
Charity Quilt by BIMQG
BIMQG members teamed up to make improvisational blocks using the palate given my MQG for a charity quilt challenge. There were enough blocks for a wonderful double-sided quilt. Special thanks to Marla Varner who directed the project and finished the the back, sleeve and label. To Amy Steed for finishing the binding. And to Gladys Schulz for spectacular machine quilting.
Michael Miller Challenge
Entries from Marla Varner and Kathy Greer go to Austin! Amazing work. Marla is pictured with her quilt. The circles are designed by Kathy Greer. Congrats!!
Marla also had a second quilt accepted. You have to see the hand stitching to believe it.
You can read more about Marla in the Sequim Gazette.
QuiltCon Quilt Show
Coral Reef designed, constructed and hand quilted by Marla Varner has been accepted for the Austin show. There were 1350 entries and we are so proud Marla was selected. We'll share photos from Austin in February.
